    Minus 57%. Production of underwear fell in Kyrgyzstan

    In the first quarter of 2025, significant changes were observed in textile, clothing and footwear production in Kyrgyzstan. The most significant growth was recorded in the production of fabrics: their output increased by 72.8%, amounting to 6.8 million square meters. 

    At the same time, the production of footwear also increased by 84.6% to 757.8 thousand pairs. 
    The output of men's and boys' outerwear (excluding knitwear) increased by 23.2% (to 1 million 145 thousand 100 pieces), and women's and girls' outerwear - by 20.3% (to 3 million 841 thousand 400 pieces).

    At the same time, there was a sharp decline in the production of underwear (except for knitted, machine or hand-knitted underwear) - by 57.1% to 5 million 351 thousand 200 pieces. Production of leather from hides of cattle or animals of the horse family decreased by 5.7%, amounting to 513 thousand 500 square decimeters.
