Tajikistan's experience in online financing of women's green projects was presented at a forum in Bishkek

An online platform has been launched in Tajikistan to help women implement green business projects and obtain funding to launch them. This was announced by Muyssar Pulotova, chair of the board of the IMON microcredit fund, at the CAREC 2025 women's business forum in Bishkek.

According to her, the initiative aims to support women, especially in rural and vulnerable communities, where they often become ‘drivers of sustainable change.’

"We use innovative approaches to financing women's green initiatives. After receiving a licence from the National Bank of Tajikistan in 2020 to introduce Islamic banking, we began to provide Islamic financing. This model eliminates excessive financial burdens on women and allows them to develop their ideas in the field of ecology," Pulotova emphasised.

The IMON Foundation supports projects related to ecological agriculture, waste processing and energy-efficient solutions. The foundation's online platform allows women from any region of the country to register, undergo business training, choose a mentor, prepare a business plan and apply for funding.

Pulotova noted that the project is already actively working and enjoying popularity. More than 100 women have received support and are implementing their start-ups based on the principles of Islamic finance.
