08/08/2026, 10:09In the Issyk-Kul Region, fines totalling more than 2.9 million KGS have been imposed following enforcement operations targeting breaches of environmental legislation.
According to the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service under the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision, the inspections were carried out between 1 June and 1 August 2026.
Inspectors checked recreational facilities, areas within the Lake Issyk-Kul water protection zone, and other commercial premises.
As a result of these operations, 185 administrative reports were drawn up. The total amount of fines amounted to 2 million 94 thousand KGS.
In addition, following unscheduled inspections, a further 57 reports were drawn up, totalling 818,000 KGS.
The Fish Stock Protection Department also drew up 17 administrative reports totalling 17,000 KGS. Claims for compensation totalling 4,040 KGS have been made for damage to aquatic biological resources.
The department noted that monitoring of compliance with environmental protection requirements and the prevention of environmental violations will continue.
