    Preparatory work has begun on the construction of a solar power plant in Issyk-Kul

    The Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Taalaibek Ibraev, paid a working visit to the Issyk-Kul region and familiarised himself with the start of preparatory work on the construction of a 1,900 MW solar power plant. The plant will be built by RECA – Rox Energy Global in the village of Kyzyl-Oruk Toru-Aygirsky Ayyl Okmotu, Issyk-Kul region.

    The company has already delivered the necessary equipment to the construction site and has begun priority work. In particular, modular houses and an office for workers are currently being delivered and installed, electricity is being supplied, and access roads are being built. In addition, it is planned to level the site for the installation of solar panels.

    These measures are an important step towards the speedy implementation of the project in accordance with previous agreements and the document signed on 25 July 2025. Construction is scheduled for completion in 2027.
