The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in conjunction with government agencies as part of a policy to simplify trade procedures and reduce administrative barriers.
The main goal of the innovation is to reduce the time and costs of crossing the border, create conditions for the free movement of goods and stimulate economic development.
The introduction of an electronic traffic flow distribution system has been identified by the Cabinet of Ministers as one of the priorities for eliminating congestion and delays at the border. The first results were already achieved in November 2024 at the Kyzyl-Kya road crossing point, where a pilot project made it possible to eliminate queues, establish orderly traffic and reduce the load on adjacent roads.
Given the results achieved, the system is being scaled up and implemented at the Dostuk checkpoint.
‘The system will simplify procedures, reduce costs for businesses and carriers, and increase the transparency and efficiency of trade processes. This is part of a broader strategy for the digital transformation of the economy, aimed at increasing its competitiveness,’ said Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Iskender Asylkulov, emphasising that the launch of the system will be a significant step for business and foreign economic activity.
At the end of the event, he presented Mondur Mimuni, Director of the Market Development Department of the International Trade Centre, with a Certificate of Honour from the Ministry for his assistance in implementing the project.
The initiative to introduce an electronic queue management system is being implemented in close partnership between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the State Customs Service, the European Union and the International Trade Centre.
