Payments at Kyrgyzstan’s checkpoints have been automated: budget revenue has increased almost fivefold

At Kyrgyzstan’s checkpoints, monitoring and payment processing are being transitioned to digital technologies. The situation at the checkpoints is now monitored online around the clock.

Drivers can now pay the required charges themselves via QR codes, payment terminals and bank cards. Pre-payment via e-wallets before the journey begins is also available.

The Ministry of Transport notes that digitalisation has increased the transparency of payments and reduced the risk of corruption.

Budget revenue from these payments has risen from 64.0 million KGS in 2019 to 300.3 million KGS in 2025. In the first 10 months of 2026, the budget has already received 291.1 million KGS.

The Ministry of Transport plans to continue the digitalisation and automation of payment processes at toll stations.
