10/03/2026, 10:37On 1 October, a meeting of the task force responsible for preparing the city for the 2026/2027 autumn–winter period was held at Bishkek City Hall. The meeting was chaired by Mayor Aibek Junushaliev.
Participants discussed the readiness of municipal heat supply companies for the heating season and the provision of coal to Bishkek for thermal power stations and residential areas.
Following the meeting, the mayor instructed that repair work at heat supply companies be completed in accordance with the approved schedules.
District heads have been instructed to ensure that fuel depots hold sufficient stocks of coal that meet quality standards. They must also analyse coal sales and consumption figures from previous heating seasons to prevent fuel shortages this coming winter.
The City Council has reported that fuel depots are already operating in the districts of Bishkek, where residents can purchase coal. The addresses and contact details of the depots are published on the City Council’s official website.
