Illegal rubbish dumps and sewage discharges have been uncovered on the Kok-Zhayyk pasture — the offenders have been fined 62,000 soms

Inspectors from the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service under the Ministry of Natural Resources have uncovered breaches of environmental legislation at the Kok-Zhayik pasture in the Jeti-Oguz district. Following the inspection, fines totalling 62,000 soms were issued to the offenders.

During the environmental inspection, inspectors documented instances of unauthorised disposal of solid household waste and the discharge of wastewater in unauthorised locations.

Six administrative reports were drawn up regarding the identified violations, and fines totalling 62,000 soms were imposed on the offenders.

In addition to drawing up the administrative reports, the inspectors carried out awareness-raising work with local residents, reminding them of the need to comply with environmental legislation, to dispose of household waste and to discharge wastewater only in designated areas. Citizens were also warned of the consequences of breaching environmental regulations.
