07/15/2026, 17:03The ‘Kyrgyzrestavratsiya’ organisation has announced a tender for repair and restoration works at the ‘Koshoy-Korgon Fortress’ historical and cultural monument. The estimated cost of the project is 8,700,427 KGS.
According to the technical specifications, the contractor will carry out archaeological research, reinforce and restore the adobe brick walls, repair damage caused by erosion and animal activity, and install a drainage system to protect the fortress from further deterioration.
Tender applications will be accepted until 29 July. The contractor must have experience in the restoration of cultural heritage sites, the relevant permits and specialist restorers.
Koshoy-Korgon is one of Kyrgyzstan’s largest medieval archaeological sites, situated in the At-Bashin district of the Naryn region. The restoration work is aimed at preserving the historic site and preventing its further deterioration.
