The National Bank has updated exchange rates as of May 16: the ruble and tenge have risen, while the euro and yuan have fallen

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has published the official foreign exchange rates for May 16.

The U.S. dollar exchange rate remained unchanged at 87.45 KGS.

The euro saw the most significant decline. Its exchange rate fell from 102.4171 to 101.7262 KGS, or by 0.67%.

The Russian ruble, on the other hand, strengthened. The exchange rate rose from 1.188 to 1.1932 KGS, corresponding to an increase of approximately 0.44%.

The tenge also appreciated—from 0.1845 to 0.1858 KGS. The increase amounted to about 0.7%. This was the strongest change among the major currencies.

The Chinese yuan fell from 12.8881 to 12.8520 KGS, losing about 0.28%.

Thus, by the end of the week, the currencies of the EAEU countries had strengthened on the Kyrgyz currency market, while the euro and the yuan showed a decline.
