The National Bank has warned of a new scam involving ‘preferential loans’

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has warned the public about a new fraudulent scheme. Advertisements offering to help arrange preferential loans are being circulated on social media and messaging apps.

To make their claims appear credible, the fraudsters are using forged documents bearing the National Bank’s logo, as well as publishing fake reviews.

The regulator has urged citizens not to trust such messages, not to transfer money to strangers, and to verify information only through official sources.

The National Bank has reiterated that the regulator does not issue loans to the public, does not request money transfers, does not send staff identification documents via messaging apps, and does not provide services to private individuals.

If a member of the public has fallen victim to fraudsters, they are advised to block their bank card immediately and contact the police.
