05/20/2026, 12:12The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has suspended the licences of three currency exchange bureaux for breaching the requirements of legislation and the regulator’s regulatory acts.
From 16 to 30 May 2026 inclusive, the licence of the ‘Expo Grand Plus’ currency exchange bureau, located at 129 Abdrakhmanov Street in Bishkek, has been suspended. A similar measure has been applied to the ‘Bereke Lux’ currency exchange bureau at 100 Moskovskaya Street.
Furthermore, from 16 to 20 May, the licence of the ‘NKA Tri Semerki’ currency exchange bureau, located in the town of Kant in Chui Region at the entrance to the central market, has been suspended.
In addition, the National Bank has fined three currency exchange bureaus in Bishkek. The fine for each amounted to 55,000 KGS.
Separately, the regulator reported a fine of 17,500 KGS imposed on a Kyrgyz citizen for conducting foreign currency exchange transactions without a National Bank licence in Bishkek.
