Not enough vehicles and crews: MP proposes additional budget for emergency services

Deputy Bekmurza Ergeshov voiced complaints from residents of Bishkek and Osh regarding the work of the emergency medical services. According to him, people complain about a shortage of ambulance crews and vehicles, which means that calls are not responded to in a timely manner.

Residents report that in some cases, ambulance crews arrive 2-3 hours late or ask patients to make their own way to the hospital. In other cases, when vehicles are busy, citizens have to travel to the scene without medical assistance. In cases of serious illness or injury, getting to the hospital on one's own is almost impossible, which in some cases leads to tragic consequences.

According to the deputy, the Ministry of Health needs to take measures to improve the situation: increase the number of ambulance crews and vehicles, and expand the network of medical centres in cities. In conditions of urban traffic jams, this is especially important in order to reduce the arrival time of crews and improve the availability of emergency care for the population.
