The Jogorku Kenesh decided to dissolve itself

At today's meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on 25 September, deputies considered and adopted a draft resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh «On the dissolution of the VII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic».

Information on this issue was presented by Jogorku Kenesh deputy Ulan Primov. He noted that there are 32 deputies in the initiative group.

«The difference between two important political events — the presidential and parliamentary elections — is a short period of time, so in order to strengthen the political system and stability in the country, the initiative group proposes that parliament voluntarily resign», — said Ulan Primov, also pointing out another important point — the change in electoral legislation.

As a result of the vote, 84 deputies supported the initiative group's proposal to dissolve the VII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It should be recalled that on 23 September, the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Issues and Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh, and on 25 September, the Coordination Council of the Jogorku Kenesh considered the proposal to dissolve the VII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
