08/01/2025, 11:26The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic has established the fact of illegal seizure of shares in a company that holds a licence to develop one of the coal deposits in the Naryn region. This was reported by the press service of the agency.
It was established that former members of the Jogorku Kenesh, ‘Zh. uulu A.’ and ‘M.M.,’ at different times, through the use of threats and other illegal methods, without payment, forced the transfer of a controlling stake in a highly liquid company developing a coal deposit into their ownership.
On 31 July 2025, ‘Zh. uulu A.’ and ‘M.M.’ were detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the State Committee for National Security. They will be charged within the time limits established by law, and the court will select a preventive measure for the entire period of the investigation.
It is specified that the investigation into the case is continuing, all the circumstances of the crime are being established, as well as the circle of persons who may be directly involved.
