Kyrgyz citizens’ nominal incomes rose by 6.6 per cent, but real incomes fell

In 2025, the nominal cash income of the population of Kyrgyzstan reached 987.3 billion som, an increase of 6.6 per cent compared with the previous year. At the same time, real incomes fell by 3.3 per cent.

According to the National Statistics Committee, employment remains the main source of income for Kyrgyz citizens, accounting for 78.7% of all cash receipts. Social transfers accounted for 13.1%, whilst income from the sale of agricultural produce from private smallholdings accounted for 5.7%.

Average real cash income per capita in 2025 stood at 11,401.1 som per month, whilst disposable income – after deduction of compulsory payments and contributions – reached 11,081.1 som.

The highest levels of disposable income were, as is traditional, recorded in Bishkek and the Chui Region, where they exceeded the national average. Incomes remained below the average in the Naryn, Talas, Issyk-Kul, Jalal-Abad, Osh and Batken regions, as well as in the city of Osh.
