A new school costing 137.5 million som is being built in the border area of the Osh Region

In the village of Zhar-Kyshtak in the Aravan District of the Osh Region, located in the border area, construction is underway on a modern school with a capacity of 200 pupils.

The project was launched in December 2025 and is funded from the national budget. The total cost of the project is 137.5 million KGS.

According to the plans, the school will be a two-storey building. In addition to classrooms, the building will house laboratories, craft rooms, a library, a canteen, an assembly hall and a sports hall equipped with all necessary facilities. The total floor area of the building will be 2,008 square metres.

Currently, 35% of the construction and fitting-out works on the site have been completed.
Each stage of the construction work is supervised by the Department of Housing and Civil Engineering and undergoes technical inspection.
