08/21/2025, 15:52As part of the implementation of the capital construction plan for 2025, preparations for the upcoming autumn-winter period, as well as the reform being carried out by the Ministry of Energy, JSC ‘National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan’ continues large-scale work on the modernisation and reconstruction of the power grid complex.
To date, 35 kV power transformers with a capacity of 16 MVA have been replaced at 10 substations across the country, which will increase the capacity of power facilities and improve the reliability of power supply.
«Replacing power transformers is not only a technical upgrade, but also a contribution to the reliability of the country's power system. We are working to ensure that every region of Kyrgyzstan has a stable and uninterrupted power supply. The implementation of such projects is an important step in the energy reform and improving the quality of services for the population and businesses», — said Altynbek Rysbekov, Director General of OJSC National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan.
The implementation of these measures will significantly improve the stability and capacity of distribution networks, as well as ensure reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply to the population, social facilities and enterprises in the regions of the country.
