Deposits in national currency made the main contribution to growth. Their volume increased by 70.6 billion KGS and amounted to 427.7 billion. This is almost 62% of the total portfolio. The average interest rate on deposits in KGS decreased from 5.64% in January to 5.48% in April.
Deposits in foreign currency, on the contrary, showed less confident dynamics. Over four months, their volume grew by only KGS 6 billion to KGS 260.2 billion. The average yield on them remains significantly lower, at about 0.88% per annum, which makes such investments less attractive to depositors.
