06/08/2026, 20:55The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan today, 8 June, carried out another foreign exchange intervention, selling a total of $170.2 million on the market.
According to the regulator’s data, $76.7 million was sold with settlement on the trade date, and a further $93.5 million with settlement on a date other than the trade date.
This is the National Bank’s seventh intervention since the start of 2026.
In terms of volume, the June operation was one of the largest this year.
Taking this new operation into account, the total volume of currency sold by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic since the start of the year to support the national currency has reached approximately $1.064 billion.
It should be noted that the current intervention took place almost two months after the previous operation, carried out on 16 April.
