Artificial insemination equipment transferred to the Osh region

As part of the World Bank's Sustainable Agro-Cluster Development Project, new modern equipment for 34 artificial insemination stations for cattle was delivered to the Osh region.

The aim of this initiative is to help livestock farmers work more efficiently by using modern technologies to increase production and raise the incomes of rural residents. A total of 160 such kits were delivered across the country, 34 of which went to the Osh region.

Each set contains the necessary equipment: a container for storing sperm (Dewar vessel), a syringe catheter, a special heater (thermostat-defroster) and a thermometer. One set costs about 37,500 KGS, and 6 million KGS was allocated for the entire purchase.

In addition to the equipment, specialists received branded vests and caps to make their work more comfortable and professional.

The equipment remains on the balance sheet of local administrations and is temporarily transferred to artificial insemination technicians. If a technician stops working, the equipment can be transferred to another specialist with the consent of the veterinary service.
