    OSCE to support Kyrgyzstan in organic agriculture

    The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry and the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek signed a plan of cooperation for 2025.

    The document enshrines key areas of partnership in the field of sustainable water use and development of organic agriculture. The signing took place in Bishkek with the participation of the Head of the OSCE Program Office, Ambassador Alexei Rogov, and Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Samat Nasirdinov.

    During the meeting, the sides discussed further steps towards effective water management in the Chu and Talas river basins, as well as measures to develop organic agriculture. These initiatives are designed to contribute to the economic growth of the country and address pressing environmental issues.

    The co-operation plan envisages joint activities throughout the year aimed at improving the skills of specialists, introducing advanced technologies and strengthening the legal and regulatory framework. The OSCE will continue to provide expert and technical support to the Ministry, contributing to the implementation of Kyrgyzstan's international commitments in the area of sustainable agriculture.
