11/24/2025, 11:01According to data for January–September 2025, insurance companies concluded 1,197,300 compulsory insurance contracts with a total insured amount of 1 trillion 17 billion 174.7 million KGS. Insurance premiums amounted to 2 billion 526.3 million KGS, insurance payments — 187.3 million KGS.
Civil liability insurance accounted for 967 thousand 617 contracts and 854 billion 151.6 million KGS of insurance coverage. A significant part of this volume is accounted for by vehicle owners.
In the compulsory property insurance segment, 229,753 contracts were concluded. The insurance amount amounted to 163 billion 23 million KGS, insurance payments — 24.8 million KGS.
In compulsory medical insurance, insurance for military personnel, insurance for dangerous goods and a number of other categories, the indicators remain zero, no contracts were concluded and no insurance claims were recorded.
The structure of compulsory insurance in Kyrgyzstan remains one-sided. The main burden is formed by civil liability insurance, primarily motor vehicle insurance, while other types of compulsory insurance are minimally developed.
