05/24/2026, 10:26There are 84,911 retail outlets in markets and shopping centres across Kyrgyzstan. The highest numbers are in the Chui and Osh regions, whilst the lowest are in the Naryn region.
According to regional data from the National Statistics Committee, there are 13,762 retail outlets registered in the Chui region and 9,998 in the Osh region. Next come the Jalal-Abad region with 7,905 outlets, the Talas region with 7,417, and the Batken region with 7,003.
The fewest trading posts are recorded in the Naryn region — 1,727. In the Issyk-Kul region, this figure stands at 2,465.
The retail infrastructure is developing particularly rapidly in densely populated and border regions, where markets remain one of the main hubs for employment and trade.
