Entrepreneurs from Naryn submitted proposals to the SME-2030 Programme

An expert meeting was held in the city of Naryn to discuss the draft Programme for the Support and Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Kyrgyzstan until 2030 (SME-2030).

The event was organised by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce with the support of experts from the UNDP and OSCE working group. Representatives of the business community of the Naryn region, industry associations and local authorities took part in the dialogue.

During the meeting, entrepreneurs from the region identified key barriers and priorities for business development. The main focus was on issues of access to finance, the need to expand preferential lending instruments, and the development of digital infrastructure to support entrepreneurs.

A separate section discussed proposals to create a regional digital hub to support business, simplify procedures and provide one-stop advisory support.

The meeting participants also emphasised the importance of forming export and production clusters, including in the agricultural processing and garment industries, which will increase the competitiveness of local enterprises and expand their access to foreign markets.

Following the discussion, the proposals of entrepreneurs in the Naryn region will be summarised and taken into account in the finalisation of the SME-2030 programme. The recommendations received are aimed at developing practical and targeted support measures that take into account regional specifics and business needs.

The regional expert meetings are part of the systematic work on the formation of the SME-2030 Programme and are aimed at ensuring the broad involvement of the business community in the process of developing state policy in the field of support for small and medium-sized businesses.
