In connection with the liquidation, all creditors and other interested parties may file their claims with the Fund within two months.
The Aga Khan Foundation is one of the agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network—an international nongovernmental organization working in the fields of education, health care, rural development, economic sustainability, and improving the quality of life for the population. The organization implements projects in dozens of countries around the world, with a particular focus on supporting vulnerable communities and long-term socioeconomic development.
The Aga Khan Foundation has been operating in Kyrgyzstan for more than two decades, implementing programs in the areas of education, community development, climate change resilience, entrepreneurship support, and improving the quality of life in the country’s mountainous regions.
However, the announcement specifically concerns the Fund’s office in the Bishkek Free Economic Zone. The reasons for the closure and the potential impact of this decision on ongoing programs in Kyrgyzstan have not yet been disclosed.
