They presented successful projects implemented in Russia and Kazakhstan and began analyzing one of the capital's intersections at the request of a private client.
The problem of traffic jams in Bishkek remains extremely acute, especially during peak hours.
Measures are being taken to solve this problem, for example, students study after 10 am, and the mayor's office employees take public transportation on some days.
A draft law is under public discussion, which envisages the introduction of restrictions on the movement of cars by license plates. It is assumed that limitations will be applied on weekdays from 7:00 to 21:00. Cars with license plates ending in 1 and 2 will not be allowed to drive on Mondays, 3 and 4 - on Tuesdays, 5 and 6 - on Wednesdays and so on. These measures are expected to reduce the traffic burden on the roads by 20%.
In addition, the bill includes the introduction of fines for non-payment of parking in paid parking lots, which will improve parking space management and attract investment.
Despite this, traffic jams in Bishkek are not getting less. Therefore, a separate company has begun to study this topic. Karybayev said the specialists will present their proposals for solving transportation problems in October. However, there is no information about the company itself.
