Sales and marketing have become the most sought-after sectors among jobseekers in Kyrgyzstan

The majority of CVs on the Kyrgyz labour market are in the sales and customer service sectors — these fields account for almost a quarter of all active CVs. At the same time, interest in jobs in transport, logistics and the automotive sector is growing the fastest.

According to data from the HeadHunter platform, ‘Sales and Customer Service’ has become the most active sector in terms of the number of CVs, accounting for 12.7 per cent of all CVs posted. Over the past year, the number of professionals in this sector has risen by 70.1 per cent.

In second place is marketing, advertising and PR, accounting for 12.2 per cent of CVs. The number of jobseekers in this sector has increased by 32 per cent compared with last year.

Domestic and support staff also feature in the top three, accounting for 7.7 per cent of all CVs. The number of professionals in this sector has risen by 27.5 per cent.

Other popular sectors included fitness and the beauty industry (7.4 per cent), manual labour (6.7 per cent), transport and logistics (6.5 per cent), the automotive sector (6.1 per cent), and tourism, hotels and restaurants (5.5 per cent).

The most significant year-on-year increase in the number of CVs was seen in the transport, logistics and freight sectors – a rise of 65.8 per cent – as well as in the automotive sector – 55.4 per cent.

This rise in the number of CVs indicates that more and more people are entering the labour market or changing career paths. The sectors in highest demand remain those where no lengthy professional training is required and where there are a large number of vacancies.

In addition to blue-collar roles and the service sector, jobseekers are also actively posting CVs in IT (4.6 per cent), finance and accountancy (4 per cent), and medicine and pharmaceuticals (3.3 per cent). The lowest numbers of CVs were posted in insurance and agriculture – 0.4 per cent each.
