Overdue accounts payable by Kyrgyz enterprises have reached 22.5 billion KGS

As at the beginning of April 2026, overdue accounts payable by enterprises in the real sector of the economy stood at 22.5 billion KGS, or 1.6 per cent of total accounts payable.

More than 80 per cent of overdue debts were attributable to enterprises producing coke and refined petroleum products. It was this sector that accounted for the bulk of overdue trade payables.

At the same time, the real sector’s debt on bank loans and borrowings had fallen by 39.7% since the start of the year and stood at 661.8 billion KGS as at 1 April. The main reduction was seen among financial intermediaries, amounting to 390.9 billion KGS. Debt also fell among enterprises involved in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity – by 16.9 billion KGS – and among organisations engaged in the extraction of minerals – by 15.3 billion KGS.

  • Kyrgyzstan’s PPP portfolio has exceeded $4.6 billion

    The portfolio of public-private partnership projects in Kyrgyzstan has grown from 3 to more than 90 projects since 2017. The total volume of investment has exceeded 450 billion KGS, or around $4.6 billion. These figures are presented in the first country review on the development of PPPs in Kyrgyzstan, prepared by the Eurasian Development Bank in collaboration with the Kyrgyzstan PPP Centre and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.

  • Kyrgyzstan and the EEC discussed the development of a common public procurement market

    On 5 August, Ruslan Suynaliev, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Finance, met with Maxim Yermolovich, a member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission and Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation. The parties discussed cooperation in the field of public procurement, the improvement of legal mechanisms and the implementation of digital solutions.
