Overdue accounts payable by Kyrgyz enterprises have exceeded 22.5 billion KGS

As at 1 April 2026, the overdue accounts payable of Kyrgyz enterprises stood at 22.54 billion KGS. The largest share of these liabilities is owed to foreign counterparties — 16.7 billion KGS, or around 74 per cent of the total debt.

Domestically, enterprises owe creditors 4.55 billion KGS. A further 1.3 billion KGS is owed to CIS countries, with the largest creditors being Uzbekistan (727.4 million KGS), Russia (251 million KGS) and Kazakhstan (208 million KGS).

The bulk of overdue accounts payable is concentrated in the manufacturing sector. This sector accounts for 19.67 billion KGS, representing around 87 per cent of all enterprises’ overdue liabilities.

The production of coke and refined petroleum products remains the largest source of debt. Enterprises in this sector have accumulated 18.08 billion KGS in overdue liabilities, of which nearly 15.84 billion KGS is owed to creditors from countries outside the CIS.

Among other sectors, significant volumes of overdue debt were recorded in wholesale and retail trade – 726.3 million KGS; electricity, gas and steam supply – 570 million KGS; and real estate activities – 285.6 million KGS.
