    Overdue debts of Kyrgyz enterprises exceeded 17.5 billion KGS

    According to data as of April 1, 2025, the overdue accounts payable of enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic amounted to 17 billion 513.2 million KGS.

    Of this amount, only KGS 2.3 billion (13%) is owed within the country, while KGS 15.2 billion (87%) is owed to foreign creditors, of which KGS 14.4 billion is owed to countries outside the CIS.

    The largest amount of overdue debt is observed in the manufacturing industry – more than KGS 15.3 billion. The leader in terms of debt among industries remains the production of coke and refined petroleum products – KGS 13.8 billion, of which more than KGS 13.7 billion is owed to countries outside the CIS. Significant debts are also recorded in the non-metallic mineral products manufacturing sector (KGS 639.5 million), where almost half of the debt is related to foreign partners.

    In the trade sector (wholesale and retail trade, car repair), the debt amounted to KGS 617.4 million, of which more than half – KGS 332.3 million – is owed to foreign counterparties. The construction sector accumulated KGS 364.8 million in overdue debt, most of which remains domestic.

    Debt in the energy, gas, and steam supply sector remains significant at KGS 350.7 million, of which KGS 153.4 million is owed to Uzbekistan. It is also noteworthy that in the transport sector, overdue debts reached KGS 110.8 million, including debts to Russia (KGS 431,000) and countries outside the CIS (KGS 18.2 million).
