08/13/2026, 10:41There are 317 markets in Kyrgyzstan, with a total of 86,400 trading stalls. In fact, trading took place at 82,700 stalls during the quarter in question. The total amount of fees collected for the use of trading stalls amounted to 1.07 billion KGS, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
The largest amount of fees was collected from markets in Bishkek — 678.9 million KGS. The capital has 66 markets and more than 30,100 trading stalls where trading actually took place. The Chui Region came second with 103.8 million KGS, and the Osh Region came third with 92.9 million KGS.
A total of 82,700 traders carried out trading activities in the country’s markets during the quarter. Of these, 662 trading stalls were occupied by legal entities, 21,000 by private individuals and 61,000 by sole traders. The average daily value of a single trading stall was 204 KGS, whilst the average number of days the markets were open during the quarter was 72.
