09/17/2025, 07:45The Russian company Astrasend, registered in Kyrgyzstan at the end of April 2023, has become a key player in the republic's money transfer market in just two years.
According to data from the National Bank, by the end of the second quarter of 2025, more than half of all incoming transfers to the country were made through the Astrasend system, which amounted to 2.2 million incoming transfer transactions worth 43 billion 114.95 million soms (a total of 82.5 billion KGS entered the country in the second quarter) .
For comparison, in the first quarter of 2024, the volume of incoming transfers through Astrasend amounted to 14.8 billion KGS, and by the end of 2024, the figure had more than doubled to 32.4 billion KGS.
Thus, Astrasend managed to surpass many competitors in a short period of time and occupy a key position in the market, which was traditionally dominated by such players as Zolotaya Korona, Unistream and Western Union.
The operator of the Astrasend system is the Russian bank AO KB Sokolovsky, and the settlement centre is also located in Moscow.
