GDP growth for January-August exceeded 11.1%

Kyrgyzstan's economy continues to demonstrate strong growth rates. According to the National Statistical Committee, the country's gross domestic product for January-August 2025 reached 1 trillion 42.1 billion soms. The real GDP growth was 11.1%, which is higher than in the same period last year (8.3%).

The main drivers were construction (+34.8%), industry (+11.6%) and services (+9.5%). At the same time, the contribution of agriculture turned out to be more modest - only 2.4% against the background of irrigation water deficit and lower crop yields. In the structure of the economy, the share of services reached 50.7%, and the share of goods-producing industries - 33.4%.

Experts note that the growth is backed not only by domestic demand and rising incomes of the population, but also by significant investments in fixed capital. Over 166.1 billion KGS of investments were allocated to the construction sector, transport, energy and infrastructure projects.
