The meeting was held on 17-18 September under the chairmanship of Kuat Rakhimov, Director of the EEC Department of Customs Legislation and Law Enforcement Practice.
The experts supported Kazakhstan's proposal to expand the cases of making changes to the declaration after the release of goods, including the possibility to specify the method of payment of VAT by offset. In addition, they discussed initiatives to unify the marks on the registration of declarations and reflect in the documents information about containers in coded form, which should improve the efficiency of customs control.
Special attention was paid to the development of electronic interaction: it is planned to expand the transfer of information in digital format, which will reduce bureaucratic procedures and simplify the work of participants in foreign economic activity.
