02/18/2025, 09:02The Bank of Russia has published updated official exchange rates for February 18. According to the regulator, the Russian ruble weakened against the major world currencies.
The official rate of the U.S. dollar rose by 1.25%, reaching Br91.4347, while the euro strengthened by 0.97%, amounting to 95.8048.
In the over-the-counter market, the dollar/ruble exchange rate remains below Br90. During trading on February 17, the USD/RUB pair closed at RUB 89.618, recording a 0.97% decline in the dollar compared to the closing rate on February 14.
Against the background of ruble fluctuations in Russia, a similar movement is observed in the fx market of Kyrgyzstan. After several days of growth, the Russian currency weakened against the som by 1.29%, settling at the level of 0.9599 som per ruble.
