From 1 October, the minimum amount will be 8,800 KGS

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the procedure for indexing pensions with effect from 1 October 2026. The relevant Resolution No. 601 was adopted on 5 September.

According to the document, the indexation coefficient for the contributory part of pensions will be 1.20, meaning that the contributory part will be increased by 20 per cent. However, the increase cannot be less than 1,000 KGS or more than 10,000 KGS.

Following indexation, the total pension amount must not be less than 8,800 KGS, excluding any supplements. If, after recalculation, the pension falls below this amount, it will be topped up to 8,800 KGS from the insurance component of the pension.

A separate procedure is provided for pensions that were previously topped up to the pensioner’s subsistence minimum.

Pensions that have been topped up to 6,900 KGS since 1 October 2024 will, from 1 October 2026, be topped up to the same amount—excluding supplements—by increasing the basic component. Pensions which have been adjusted to 7,100 KGS from October 2025 will remain at this level, also excluding any supplements.

Once such pensions have been adjusted to the relevant subsistence minimum, their insurance components will be indexed in accordance with the established coefficient.

The Social Fund has been instructed to recalculate the insurance components of pensions and ensure their payment at the new rates from 1 October.

To implement certain provisions of the decree, the Ministry of Finance must allocate 33.9 million KGS in the national budget.

The decree comes into force on 1 October 2026.
