Now, income tax and insurance contributions for taxi drivers, couriers and other categories of workers will be paid by the aggregators themselves, acting as tax agents.
This means that drivers and couriers no longer need to purchase a licence or insurance policy, register as sole traders, calculate taxes themselves or submit reports. All obligations will be assumed by the platform, which will withhold a percentage of income.
The income tax rate is set at 1% from 2025 to 2028, 2% from 2028 to 2030, and 5% from 2030 onwards. For example, with an income of 30,000 soms, the tax will be 300 soms, which the aggregator will automatically transfer to the budget. The authorities expect that this rule will simplify administration and make income in the taxi and delivery sector more transparent.
