09/02/2025, 15:46The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has approved a Green Economy Development Programme for the period up to 2029. The relevant resolution was signed by the Prime Minister, Adylbek Kasymaliyev.
The document aims to institutionalise the principles of the green economy and introduce environmental measures at the macro and micro levels in priority sectors of the economy. The programme includes an action plan, a matrix of key indicators and an assessment of resource costs.
State bodies, authorised representatives of the President in the regions, and local self-government bodies have been appointed responsible for implementation. The heads of these structures are personally responsible for the fulfilment of the approved tasks and the achievement of the set indicators.
