Since the beginning of the year, the production of meat, milk and eggs has been growing in the country

Production of meat volumes has increased in all regions of the country mainly due to the growth of livestock and poultry. Such data are given by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry. 

According to the preliminary results of cattle and poultry accounting in the republic, as of the end of 2024, the number of cattle increased by 1.5%, sheep and goats - by 1.1%, horses - by 2% and the number of poultry increased by 10.5% compared to last year.

For example, in January 2025, milk production in the republic amounted to 85.1 thousand tonnes, which is 781 tonnes or 0.9% more than in the same period last year. Milk production increased in farms of all regions of the republic due to the growth of the number of cows by 1.8% and their productivity by 3.4 kilograms compared to the same period last year.
