08/24/2026, 19:51At the opening ceremony of the ‘Yrys Ordo’ state conference centre, President Sadyr Japarov stated that the new complex should serve as a venue for major international events and for decisions important to the region.
According to him, the construction of the centre has become one of the most prominent symbols of the new era of independent Kyrgyzstan.
“In the history of every nation, every state and every capital, there are special structures that define their place on the international stage and demonstrate the country’s standing and status to foreign guests. We have gathered here for the grand opening of ‘Yrys Ordo’ — a new, modern symbol of independent Kyrgyzstan,” said the President.
Zaparov noted that the opening of the complex coincides with the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s independence. He emphasised that ‘Yrys Ordo’ should become not only a venue for official events, but also a place for strengthening cooperation between states.
“Kyrgyzstan, situated in the very heart of Central Asia, is becoming a new arena for diplomacy and major decision-making. May God grant that the historic decisions taken here, the agreements concluded and the understandings reached go down in the annals of world history,” he said.
The President also called on politicians and young people to put the interests of the state above political differences.
“Political changes may vary, but we have only one country — Kyrgyzstan. And it has only one future. It does not matter who holds which position or what political views they hold. The main thing is to be able to unite around a single goal and act for the sake of the country’s future,” said Zhaparov.
He added that over 35 years of independence, Kyrgyzstan has gone through numerous political disputes and confrontations. According to him, the new generation must not repeat these mistakes.
“Dear young people, do not adopt the negative aspects of our generation’s experience. Take only the good from it, strengthen unity and build a new Kyrgyzstan together,” emphasised the President.
Zaparov also highlighted the architecture and design of the complex. He said that the construction took into account not only modern requirements but also Kyrgyzstan’s national history and culture.
“The building’s modern, futuristic style is combined with Kyrgyz national motifs, making it one of the capital’s landmarks,” he noted.
Frescoes and artistic depictions dedicated to outstanding figures from the history and culture of the Kyrgyz people and the Turkic world occupy a special place in the design of ‘Yrys Ordo’. The complex features depictions of Mahmud Kashgari, Yusuf Balasagun and the great Manaschi Sayakbay Karalaev. Through these works, visitors are introduced to Kyrgyzstan’s rich historical heritage.
‘The rich history of the Kyrgyz people, national culture and modern architecture come together here. We want every foreign guest, upon setting foot on this land, to feel the wealth, unity, friendship and strength of the Kyrgyz people,’ said the Head of State.
The President also highlighted the complex’s infrastructural advantages. According to him, transport accessibility and the impact of international events on traffic in Bishkek were taken into account when selecting the construction site.
“The complex has been built in a part of the capital that is convenient from a logistical point of view. At the same time, the interests of the city’s residents and the characteristics of the urban environment were taken into account,” said Zhaparov.
‘Yrys Ordo’ comprises a modern conference centre, a Kurultai hall with 1,238 seats, a banquet hall with 1,000 seats, a press centre with 235 seats, five rooms for bilateral meetings, car parks and eight guest houses to accommodate official delegations.
