03/20/2025, 13:27On 20 March, President Sadyr Zhaparov during his working trip to Batken oblast opened a new educational, medical and scientific complex of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after Isa Akhunbaev in Batken city, as well as 15 social facilities across the country online.
As part of his speech, the President announced the allocation of KGS 1 billion from the State Stabilisation Fund for the construction of a football complex for the Batken City Hall. This decision is aimed at supporting the youth of the region and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The head of state also emphasised that the construction of a new town in the region is planned in the future as part of the comprehensive development of Batken.
‘All of us, not only the residents of Batken, but all the people of Kyrgyzstan, rejoice that the issues on the borders of the country have been resolved, and now the borders of Kyrgyzstan start from Batken,’ Sadyr Zhaparov noted.
He expressed confidence that with the final clarification of borders a new era of peace and security for the region will begin.
As part of the National Development Programme of Kyrgyzstan until 2026, a project was implemented to build an educational and medical complex, which is equipped with modern medical equipment, including computer tomography, X-ray and ultrasound equipment. The construction cost of the clinic was KGS 292 million, and KGS 99 million was spent on medical equipment.
Special attention was paid to combining the educational process with practical experience. Students will be able to work under the supervision of professors, and local residents will receive high-quality medical consultations.
The President also presented two ambulances to Batken and expressed gratitude to the staff of KGMA for their contribution to the development of healthcare in the country.
Fifteen social facilities, including schools, kindergartens, gyms and medical centres across the country have been opened online, which contributes to improving the quality of life and access to educational and medical services for Kyrgyz citizens.
