    Saudi company interested in importing nuts from Kyrgyzstan

    BAJA company, one of the leading producers of nuts, tea and coffee in Saudi Arabia, has shown interest in nuts and dried fruits from Kyrgyzstan. This became known during the meeting of the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Saudi Arabia Ulkbek Maripov with the Executive Director of the company Mohammed Farha Al-Gamidi.

    The meeting discussed possible ways to develop bilateral co-operation and the prospect of exporting Kyrgyz products, including nuts, apricots (Batken dried apricots) and prunes to the Saudi market.

    ‘BAJA is ready to study in detail the opportunities for importing products from Kyrgyzstan and analyse the potential of these goods in the Saudi market.

    The company, with more than 150 branches and 12,000 outlets throughout Saudi Arabia, plays an important role in supplying the local market with nuts and dried fruits. Possible co-operation with Kyrgyzstan is expected to be a new step in strengthening trade ties between the countries.
