    The Chamber of Accounts has identified violations amounting to 794 million KGS at OJSC ‘Airports of Kyrgyzstan’

    At its regular meeting on 17 July, the Board of the Chamber of Accounts reviewed the results of the audit of the compliance of the activities of Manas International Airport OJSC (currently Kyrgyzstan Airports OJSC) from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2024.

    The audit revealed financial violations and shortcomings totalling 794.1 million KGS, including funds recovered during the audit. The report was accepted with comments.

    Among the main violations, the auditors pointed out the lack of proper control over the accrual and payment of payments, penalties and fines in the amount of 28.9 million KGS, excessive payments of salaries and monetary rewards in the amount of 543.8 million KGS, and the write-off of property without supporting documents in the amount of 211.4 million KGS.

    In addition, the company reported overspending on inventories and expenses of 941,600 KGS, overstating the volume and cost of construction work by 5.7 million KGS, misusing property worth 1.9 million KGS, and violations in the accounting of accounts receivable worth 1.2 million KGS.

    The Chamber of Accounts also identified a shortage of property and money amounting to 6.4 thousand KGS.

    It should be recalled that on 16 July, the day before the meeting of the Board of the Chamber of Accounts, the State Committee for National Security detained the chief inspector of the Chamber on suspicion of extortion.
