Reconstruction of the Dyikan-Kyzyl-Zhyldyz section (from 159 to 183 km) of the alternative North-South road was completed in 2022 and put into operation in 2023.
As a result of negotiations between the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Saudi Development Fund, it was decided to allocate the saved funds for major repairs of local roads near the alternative North-South road.
