Agriculture brought more than 396 billion soms to the Kyrgyz economy

In 2024, the gross output of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in Kyrgyzstan exceeded 396 billion soms. Compared to the previous year, the physical volume index was 106.3 per cent, indicating real growth in production.

However, the sector's contribution to the economy continues to decline. The share of gross value added by the agricultural sector in the republic's GDP in 2024 was 8.6 per cent, which is 0.9 percentage points less than a year earlier.

Compared to 2020, the decline is even more noticeable — minus 3.6 percentage points. This indicates that the country's economy is growing faster than agriculture.
