Fines for air pollution exceeded 6 million KGS

Air pollution remains one of the most acute environmental problems in Kyrgyzstan. In 2025, intensive inspections were carried out in this area and hundreds of violations were identified.

A total of 260 violations were recorded during the year, with fines amounting to 6 million 478 thousand KGS. Special attention was paid to motor vehicles: 472 vehicles were inspected, and 231 were found to exceed emission standards. Fines totalling 3,854,500 KGS were imposed for these violations.

At the same time, systematic work on environmental control continues in the country, including inspections of enterprises, prevention and information campaigns.

The authorities emphasise that measures to reduce air pollution will be intensified.
