An attempt was made to import 11 tonnes of expired sweets into Kyrgyzstan

Employees of the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic stopped the import of expired confectionery products during a raid.

During the inspection of the cargo transport, 4,179 boxes of confectionery products weighing about 11 tonnes were found, while the documents listed only 7 tonnes.

In addition, inspectors found antifreeze additives, accelerators, waterproofing materials, paints, primers and reinforcement.

Reports were drawn up on the violations, the vehicles were sealed and temporarily placed in a parking lot. The materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
