These conclusions were reached by the Akchabar portal after comparing data from the Eurasian Economic Commission on the production of major livestock products with the union’s population figures.
The population of the EAEU stood at 185.9 million people as of the end of 2025. In just three months, the union produced 4.85 million tons of meat, 10.9 million tons of milk, and 13.9 billion eggs.
When broken down by month, the figures are even more striking:
At the same time, production continues to grow. Compared to last year, meat output increased by 0.4%, milk by 0.6%, and eggs by 2.7%. Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan made the main contribution to this growth, while Russia maintains the largest production volumes in the Union.
In Russia, 3.86 million tons of meat, 7.55 million tons of milk, and 11.5 billion chicken eggs were produced in the first three months of this year.
Belarus and Kazakhstan rank second. Belarus produced 455,300 tons of meat and 2.26 million tons of milk, while Kazakhstan produced 421,600 tons of meat and 652,700 tons of milk.
Kyrgyzstan produced 100,300 tons (+2%) of meat, 298,900 tons (+2.5%) of milk, and 201.9 million chicken eggs (+24.6%). Armenia remains the smallest producer in the Union: 16,200 tons of meat, 118,600 tons of milk, and 139.6 million eggs.
The production structure shows that, overall, the EAEU market remains in surplus for basic food products. In other words, the Union produces enough to meet domestic demand—especially in the milk and egg segments, where supply is growing the fastest.
