The livestock market in Balykchy has been returned to state ownership

As part of the implementation of the state policy on the return of illegally privatised land plots to state ownership, the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted an audit of the legality of the privatisation of land and property complexes belonging to the municipality of Balykchy in the Issyk-Kul region.

During the inspection, it was established that a state act on the right of private ownership of a land plot measuring 6,847 square metres (now the «Livestock Market» of the city of Balykchy), located on the territory of Balykchy, had been obtained illegally.

It was established that the property was removed from municipal ownership and transferred to private individuals by the Balykchy city administration without legal grounds, in violation of the established norms of Kyrgyz legislation, formalising this with a resolution dated 2000.

As a result of investigative and operational measures, the land plot was returned to state ownership and placed on the corresponding balance sheet.
